ELO/HUK

Before existing, there is life.

Is there anything else living than creatures?*

Elo is life that is not one and not many.

It is the dark water moved by air.

The darkness that is the place of birth.

Viability in itself.

What can be found in quietude? Temporary awakening of imagination that evaporates in the air. The tracing of the boundaries, diffracting into liminalities. What is the not-doing that is essential to our survival?

ELO/HUK is acoustic-somatic storytelling, collective meditation and audio graffiti. Gentle movement in stillness at the black beach by the dark water, from the sunset to the turning into the night. What happens to bodies in the meeting with dusk? A story.

*Quote from Elo ja Anergia, Vadén & Salminen 2018
